Honestly, no.

And before you click away, here’s why. Adding fragrances to a cleaning product does not clean the air. They merely disguise the smells by adding MORE chemicals to the air. With Eco Orange, that defeats our mission as a natural, non-toxic cleaner. Manufacturers add chemical-based fragrances to hide or mask unpleasant odors that come from chemicals in the product.

Many folks mistakenly believe that if a cleaning product doesn’t leave a scent after use, the product didn’t work and the area is not clean. The green cleaning community generally believes that when given an option, always choose “unscented” or “fragrance-free” when possible. Phthalates, which are endocrine disruptors, are chemicals used as carriers for added fragrance in most household cleaning products.

Eco Orange does NOT contain phthalates.

We’ve formulated Eco Orange to be mild on smell. One should buy Eco because they want to invisibly clean, degrease and disinfect without leaving a trace of film, residue or smell. Eco is all-natural, yet tough on the job. It’s meant to clean not be a household deodorizer.

PRO-TIP: For air deodorizing we highly recommend staying away from store-bought air fresheners which are blended with various chemical agents such as phthalates, benzenes and more. If you want a great recipe for a natural deodorizer, mix 1 tbsp. baking soda and 6 or more drops of your favorite essential oil in a small dish. Add the mixture to a spray bottle and fill it with water. Shake it well and off you go — the natural version of Febreze.
